Jim Butler Maserati

Aug 12, 2021

There are some exciting and Earth-friendly changes on the horizon for Jim Butler Maserati, as Maserati is looking toward the future of electric vehicles! The MC20 coupe is sure to be one of the most memorable events in years for the top-tier speed demons out there, featuring its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that cranks out 621 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 62 mph in less than 2.9 seconds.

The Grecale SUV is next on the arrival list, which for now will derive conventional power from either a turbo four-liter or 3.0-liter V6. Both next year and 2023 will see the release of two separate EVs, with one of them potentially being an electric Levante SUV. The GranTurismo is also set to be redesigned next year, although it has not yet been confirmed if it is a future EV.

In late 2019, Maserati announced that they would make a $6 billion investment into hybrid and electric propulsion, as well as autonomous driving technology. The allure of the zero-emission ride is becoming stronger by the day, as charge times become faster, and drivers worldwide share excitement to ditch trips to the pump and be more eco-friendly. The world-renowned Innovation Lab is still in Modena, Italy, where our heart and soul are based.

Modena is the magical place where our extraordinary and legendary cars have been produced for over 80 years, all possessing high luxury, style, performance, and personality. Autoweek ran a piece recently in which they approved of the incoming GranTurismo’s styling. They said it does not conform to the “sometimes treacherous” path that other automakers can follow when it comes down to interior design, making it a breath of fresh air. The GranTurismo will be our brand’s first car that will adopt a 100% electric solution and is now undergoing a period of intense road and circuit testing.

The all-electric models on the horizon will enjoy the combination of traditional Maserati driving dynamics alongside next-generation battery-electric technology, offering extended range, ultra-fast charging options, and drive modes unique to their model. Many enthusiasts have claimed that the off-the-line acceleration from an electric model is something every touring aficionado should experience!
