Jim Butler Maserati

Jan 25, 2023

Our brand’s entry-level and most affordable vehicle is now poised to fiercely compete in one of the globe’s most popular segments. The 2023 Grecale is now available for purchase in North America, and the builds are ready for order on our online configurator here at Jim Butler Maserati of St Louis. As we are thrilled to launch our Formula E racing team this spring and completely electrify our lineup by 2030, we are also excited to offer daily drivers a taste of a precisely tuned and luxurious crossover fit for the times.
The Grecale is based on the same Giorgio platform that is astutely underneath the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and is stretched up a half-size to offer up more cargo volume and rear-seat space. Immediately after climbing in you’ll realize that the interior is immaculately finished and trimmed to the same very high standard we have always been known for. The Motor Trend team was very appreciative of the extra 16-45 horsepower and 26 more lb-ft of torque doled out by the engines, along with the razor-sharp handling and amazing ride quality courtesy of 21-inch wheels.
Just after pulling off the line, it was evident that “everything felt extra-special”, with thoroughly upscale materials present at every square inch. Nothing looks like it has gone “Dutch treat” with any other Stellantis model, and there are several extra cool items that you won’t find in the Stelvio. There’s a unique head-up display, a virtual analog clock screen with various cool design themes, and a simply amazing Italian Sonus-Faber sound system.
There are a few performance screens borrowed from the Dodge/SRT troupe, which has lately been highly revered for their tipping of the hat to the massively powered engines we also love that soon will be of yesteryear. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine emits a very distinct and pleasing growl, with the transmission doing a great job of smoothly selecting in your desired mode or from the shift paddles. The Grecale’s Vehicle Dynamic Control Module is expertly tuned to allow for varying amounts of chassis slip, constantly adjusting to your personal driving style.
This is a signature vehicle of ours that never lets the driver forget its origins, and has its sights aimed directly at competitors such as the BMW X3 and Porsche Macan. The front grille boasts a very low and imposing style with a large amount of influence drawn from the futuristic and prominently swooping MC20. We recognize that the price point is could be considered in the decidedly upwards category for the segment, but the magic and might instilled in the engine help provide a robust value.
With seating for up to five, the 2023 Maserati Grecale interior features a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, which is the largest ever for the occupants to feast their eyes on in a Maserati. This model also marks the first time that a traditional Maserati clock rests on the top of the touchscreen, and there’s a limited launch edition offered in Bianco white, Nero Tempesta Blue Intenso, Griogio Lava Grey, and Rosso Granturismo Red.
