The highly anticipated Maserati Quattroporte is a true icon of Italian elegance, renewing the vigor and original race-ready luxury that the Maserati brand has held since its humble beginnings! The Quattroporte is a capable and stylish sedan that is primed and ready for the thrill seekers. Since its first appearance during the 1960s, the Quattroporte has been a staple of amazing touring cars for decades.

The Quattroporte was truly the symbol of success for businessmen worldwide when it was released, but there was something drastically different and game-changing under the skin of this creation: the first model possessed a unique steel bodywork as opposed to the chassis-based construction popular during those times. The V8 engine cranking out 260 horsepower easily took the lead over anything the United States had to offer, and it then topped out at a startling 130 mph!

The quad-light setup was a defining component in the Quattroporte’s appearance, which remained the same until ownership of the Maserati brand changed hands during 1993. The current-model Quattroporte was introduced to the market in 2013, with the top-of-the-line Trofeo boasting 580 horsepower and a top speed of over 200 mph. On December 14, 1986, the built-to-order ultra-luxury version of the Quattroporte debuted featuring a 4.9-liter V8, and proudly boasting electronically adjustable seats along with retractable tables in the rear doors. Many remembered it by its one-of-a-kind minibar, alloy wheels, and distinct use of a compact and capable power plant.

The fifth generation of the Quattroporte was first shown to the public at the Frankfurt Motor show in 2003, and then graced the sandtraps and fairways at the US Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance. It was built on an entirely new M139 platform, and its unique architecture would later ride underneath the GranTurismo and GranCabrio convertibles and coupes. Over 5,000 were released during 2006, with grand touring enthusiasts loving its top speed, unique configuration, and immediately recognizable chrome grille.

The 3.8-Liter engine onboard is shared with the world-famous Ferrari 488, Portofinio, and boasts the performance benefits of a crossplane crankshaft and fine-tuned sump lubrication. The V6 four-wheel drive Q4 drivetrain is the same that is found in the Ghibli, and this new sedan gets even better with the Trofeo model: its firm suspension, off-the-charts agile handling, and Q4 all-wheel-drive system will all make for a sleek ride!
